My Library

Several people have asked what books I recommend so here is a look at some in my library. I’ve read quite a bit more but these are the books that I would recommend. Some are great reads cover-to-cover, while others are essential references.

Can you do some tutorial on Windows Rootkits and also Worms.
I want to Understand how they work.

Those are some pretty broad categories that probably go beyond one or two posts. The two books on rootkits I list on this page are good starting points though.

    Hello Mike,
I’m a big fan of your website. Could you kindly mail me the whole library list my browser doesn’t display the books.
    Thanks. Your feedback is appreciated.

    • Mike Czumak says:

Thanks Vincent. Not sure why it’s not displaying properly. I tend to update it periodically so a point in time list may become stale but you can actually reference each book by the ASIN that’s in the source code. Look for these entries: amzn_wdgt.ASIN.

    Hi Mike,

Can you suggest a good book or any video tutorials on the Python Scripting language for the pen tester.

Hi, There is really a problem with the amazon widgets in Google Chrome.
    Usually, nothing is displayed.
Even after restart, one just begins to load and freezes.

I know there is a little money on the table, but could you please release a text version ?

    Hi Mike,

I have a problem in backdooring calc.exe in putty and i am not able to figure out from where to overwrite return code. Could you suggest me good article of backdooring through Immunity debugger. I am also preparing for OSCE exam and stuck this point.

Got rid of that widget. Images should render in most browsers now.
